Vidhya, Moonlight, Balaji secure wins

SHILLONG, Dec 29: Moonlight SC, Sri Balaji and Vidhya SC all registered wins batting first in the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, here on Wednesday.
In the first match, Heritage won the toss and put their opponents Moonlight in to bat first. Moonlight scored an imposing 86 runs in 6 overs. Heritage batted well but could only get to 64 in the allotted 6 overs. Prasid Pradhan was the Player-of-the-Match.
In the second game, Sri Balaji won the toss and batted first, scoring 48 from their 6 overs. In reply, ICCA fell just 10 runs short to finish at 38 from 6 overs. Manish Das was Player-of-the-Match.
Later, Aamra Kaara won the toss and fielded first in their match against Vidhya SC. Vidhya amassed 54 runs in 6 overs before restricting Aamra Kaara to 45 in the allotted overs. The Player-of-the-Match was awarded to Deepak Mahato.
