VHP files police complaint against vandalism in Kali temple in Shillong

Shillong, Jan 3: Vishva Hindu Parishad has filed an FIR with Jhalupara Police Outpost in Shillong asking for arrest of the ‘culprits’ involved in vandalizing and destroying the idol of Goddess Kali at Bhootnath Kali Temple at Mawbah Shillong on the intervening night of January 1 and January 2.


The VHP mentioned in the FIR that the broken idol of Goddess Kali was noticed by the priest of the temple in the morning oc January 2 and stated that the incident had hurt the sentiments ov the devotees inparticular and Hindu population in general and called for investigation into the incident and apprehension of the culprits.
