Cleaning drive in Jail Road

SHILLONG, Jan 3: On the occasion of the 50th statehood celebration of Meghalaya, the Jail Road Welfare Committee organised a cleaning drive in Ward no 10 on Sunday.
Beginning on a positive note, the residents came out to clean the drains and roads, especially in the market area which became a challenge for them to keep the locality clean due numbers of street vendors increased in the last few years.
Notably, the Jail Road Welfare Committee will be involved in other activities especially in beautification of locality for celebration of 50th Statehood Day. The organising committee has thanked residents of the locality for their participation.
