Enrolment
The office of the Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills District has informed the general public that the process of Aadhaar enrolment is being carried out daily (Monday to Saturday during office hours) in the two permanent Aadhaar enrolment centres of the district: the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mawkyrwat and office of the Block Development Officer, Mawkyrwat C&RD Block. The office also informed that besides regular enrolment in the permanent sites, enrolment on camp mode is also being carried out based on the requests received from the village/ government departments/ schools/ colleges/ institutions. The office urged the Sordar and Myntri of the villages to inform the District Planning Officer or contact 9774762077/9485391364 for any camp-mode enrolment required in the villages.

Meet postponed
The general meeting of MUPSTA East Khasi Hills which was earlier scheduled to be held on January 8 has been postponed due to restrictions on public gatherings by the government. The message is issued by Secretary, MUPSTA East Khasi Hills, BK Samiam.

Office-bearers
The office of the Dorbar Shnong Lawsohtun has appointed its office-bearers of the Dorbar for the year 2022. The office-bearers are Harribert Rynjah as Rangbah Shnong, Lamkhraw Kharbuli as Secretary, Johny Sohkhlet as Assistant Secretary, Raymond Nongrum as Publicity Secretary, Manly Nongpluh as Treasurer, Hilarious and Edmund C Nongrum as Auditor and 12 executive members.
