STP collects Rs 39K from COVID fines

SHILLONG, Jan 11: The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has collected Rs 39,000 as fines from COVID violators including those flouting the odd-even rule imposed recently in view of the emerging pandemic situation.
An STP official informed that altogether 75 traffic violations including violation of odd-even rule were detected on Tuesday. It was also informed that since last week, the STP has been creating awareness and asking citizens to comply with the rules to prevent the spread of the virus. Checking was also carried out in different parts of the city.
