Man gets three years in jail in POCSO case

SHILLONG, Jan 18: The court of the Special Judge (POCSO), Shillong, has sentenced one Waniakyrshanborlang Makdoh to five years of imprisonment after finding him guilty of the charges of outraging the modesty of a minor.
A complaint in regard with the case was lodged in September 2014, wherein the complainant, Lurstep Pathaw, had alleged that Makdoh came to his house and directly entered his niece’s bedroom and started to outrage her modesty.
A case was registered with Mawlai Police Station and investigated by WP/SI BM Marak.
Waniakyrshanborlang Makdoh was arrested on September 30, 2014 by the investigating officer.
