Blood donation
On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Laban Sanatan Dharmasabha (Harisabha) will organise a voluntary blood donation camp within its premises from 10 am onwards on January 23. In this regard, volunteers have been asked to come forward and partake in the blood donation.
Gratitude
The Shri Gurusingh Sabha Gurudwara, Shillong, has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for declaring December 26 as Veer Baal Diwas. “We as Sikhs express our gratitude for acknowledging the role of Sikhs and their teachings of brotherhood and fighting the injustice,” it said in a statement. The prime minister had recently declared that December 26 will be observed as Veer Baal Diwas as tribute to Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.
