2nd Div Football: Marbisu, Jongksha play out 1-1 draw

SHILLONG, Feb 5: Mebankhraw Kharkongor saved Marbisu SC from defeat with a 67th minute goal against Jongksha SC in their Shillong Sports Association Second Division football match, here on Saturday. Earlier, Jongksha took a 29th minute lead through Teiborlang Khongsngi and went into the break 1-0. However, Mebankhraw’s conversion in the latter half saw Marbisu level and finish the game 1-1. Marbisu extended their unbeaten streak to three games, having won their first two matches and are at the top of the table with 7 points, just one ahead of Pohkseh (6). On Monday, Nongkrem SC meet Laitkyrhong SC at 2 pm.
