Shullai inaugurates RCC water pump in city

SHILLONG, Feb 6: Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed RCC water pump on Saturday.
Sanctioned under SPA scheme for Rs 53 lakh, the project will now ensure additional water supply for the residents of Lumdorbar, Lumsohphoh, Mynsain and Upper Lumparing area.
According to a statement, the inaugural programme was also attended by Upper Lumparing Rangbah Shnong, HB Wahlang, PHE Executive Engineer, W Nongbri, Shillong Municipal Board Executive Engineer, FB Chyne, Rangbah Shnong Kynjat Phutbol, Shaiphar Wahlang, president of Lumparing Welfare Society Nani Gopal Dey, locals, et al.
“All the speakers in the function lauded the sustain efforts of Local MLA Sanbor Shullai in bringing various kinds of public interest development schemes for Greater Lumparing in particular and the 19th South Shillong Constituency in general,” the statement said.
Shullai, who was the chief guest during the inaugural programme, expressed his gratitude to Upper Lumparing Dorbar Shnong, PHE department, Shillong Municipal Board and the state government for the project.
