Ex gratia for families of COVID victims in SWKH

MAWKYRWAT, Feb 7: The Office of the South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has asked the families or kin of COVID-19 victims to come forward and avail the one-time ex gratia of Rs. 50,000 per deceased person.
According to a statement, the concerned families/kin of COVID-19 victims, who wish to claim the ex gratia, have been asked to submit an application along with documents that include bank details and a death certificate from a competent authority that certifies the cause of death to be COVID-19.
“Family/ next of kin of the people who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in South West Khasi Hills may thereafter approach the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mawkyrwat (Relief & Rehabilitation) for claiming of ex gratia payment,” the statement said.
