NONGSTOIN, Feb 7: The Court of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial), West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin, has convicted one Drolly L Nonglait for the murder of Phrando Marwein (35) of Dombah village, Pariong, West Khasi Hills.
The session court, in an order dated January 18, sentenced the accused with life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 under Section 302 of IPC.
As per reports, on December 19, 2017, the accused Nonglait murdered Marwein in a paddy field at Dombah village.
The incident was then reported to the Nongstoin Police Station and a case was registered soonafter to investigate the murder.
