SHILLONG, Feb 18: Riatsamthiah CC kicked-off their Shillong Cricket Association First Division campaign with a thumping 147-run win over Metallica CC, here on Friday. Deciding to bat first, Riatsamthiah scored 232/8 in 35 overs. Shellingstar Thabah (52 runs in 55 balls) and Sachin Kumar (45 runs in 52 balls) were the top-scorer for Riatsamthiah. Ashish Gurung and Rajiv Thakuri picked up 3 wickets each while giving away 33 and 30 runs respectively. In reply, Metallica folded for 88 runs in 31.1 overs. Ayush Sharma top scored for Metallica with 21 runs off 33 balls. Shembhalang Pyngrope of Riatsamthiah was adjudged the Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling figures of 5/18 in 4.1 overs. Parveen Kataria of Riatsamthiah was also among wickets as he claim 2/14 in 5 overs.
