Seminar on NEP
The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) PQ H School of Education will hold a two-day national seminar on May 13 and 14 on ‘National Education Policy 2022: Bridging the Gaps in Accessibility, Equity & Quality Learning Outcomes in School Education’, which is being sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research, Government of India. A training programme on ‘Skill Development on Identified Bioinoculant Technologies and On Farm Mass Production Technology’ was conducted at Mylliem Mawsawa, East Khasi Hill on Tuesday. A total of 37 identified organic ginger growers from two blocks of West Garo Hills participated actively during the programme. Prof Dwipendra Thakuria and Dr Pranab Dutta of CAU-College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam, acted as resource persons. During the programme, farmers were imparted training on cultivation practices of ginger, method of application of bio-inoculants (biofertilizer and biopesticides), and farm level mass production of bio-inoculants.

Natl Seminar
The Departments of History and Political Science, Sankardev College, Shillong will organise a two-day national seminar on the theme ‘Interrogating the Inter-State Border Disputes in Contemporary North-East India’ on February 24 and 25. Shillong MP, Vincent H Pala will attend the inaugural programme as the chief guest while Prof Sajal Nag of Modern and Contemporary History, Assam Central University, Silchar will deliver the keynote address.
