36 fresh cases, one death

SHILLONG, Feb 27: The state on Sunday recorded 36 fresh cases of COVID-19 while one more patient succumbed to the viral infection in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,578.
The lone death was reported from East Jaintia Hills.
The active tally stands at 196 while 91,699 people have recovered from the viral infection including 28 on the day.
Seven fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, six in North Garo Hills, five each in West Khasi Hills and East Garo Hills, four in South West Khasi Hills, three in Ri-Bhoi, two each in South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills and one each in West Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills.
