SHILLONG, March 1: Sunrise XI managed to come out on top with a narrow 3-wicket win against Matri Sangha in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division match, here on Tuesday. Earlier, Matri Sangha won the toss and elected to bat first, before being bundled out for 100 in 22.3 overs. Shivakant Dubey scored 30 off 39 balls but none of the other batters could really contribute to the total. Player-of-the-Match Joydeep Ghosh bowled a tight spell to finish with 2/16 from 5 overs while Bikash took 2/5 in 2 overs. In reply, Sunrise XI knocked off the required target of 101 in 17.3 overs, losing seven wickets. Krishna Chettri top-scored with 20, while Sunny finished 3/40.
