Two deaths, 19 fresh cases

SHILLONG, March 2: The state on Wednesday recorded 19 fresh cases of COVID-19 while two more patients succumbed to the viral infection in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,580.
The active cases stand at 158 while 91,778 people have recovered so far, including 19 on the day.
Eight fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, six in Ri-Bhoi and one each in West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills, East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills.
