SHILLONG, March 6: Sputnik Spartans registered a comfortable 121-run victory against Khalsa Warriors in their Shillong Cricket Association First Division match, here on Sunday.
Earlier, Sputnik won the toss and elected to bat first and reached 167/9 in 35 overs.
Dipankar barua scored a patient 53 off 81 balls while Player-of-the-Match Lakhan Singh contributed 28 runs.
Rahul took 3/21 from five overs for Khalsa Warriors.
In their chase, Khalsa Warriors lost wickets from the very get go and were bundled out for a paltry 46 in 16.3 overs thanks to an amazing spell of bowling by Lakhan who took 6/7 form 4.3 overs.
Karan Jaiswal’s 15 turned out to be the highest score of the innings.
Aravind also bowled well, finishing with 2/8 in his 4 overs as Sputnik completed a 121-run win.
