1st Alumni Meet of College of Community Science in Tura

Tura, Mar 28: The College of Community Science, Central Agricultural University,  Tura celebrated its First Alumni Meet-2022 recently  at its campus at Sangsanggre near Tura. The programme was held under Institutional Development Plan- National Agricultural Higher Education Project (IDP- NAHEP) funded by ICAR & World Bank Project.

The meet was attended by DIG, BSF Tura, Alok Kumar Singh as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Singh complemented the authorities for such a reunion and acknowledged the importance of Integrating Community Science with the mind and internal happiness

Earlier, College Dean I/c, Dr Namita Singh, briefed the audience about the establishment of the college and its achievements along with a well placed Alumni which involves students placed at national institutes, state level departments and successful entrepreneurs.

The programme was attended virtually by three former Deans and previous faculties of the college in addition to many passed out students. The gathering attended a virtual session on “Prospects of Community Science”  by Dr JatinderKishtwaria, Emeritus Scientist, CSKHPKV  Palampur (HP) on 26th March 2022 and a session on “ Employability and Entrepreneurship “ by Ms HimaniThapa, Co Founder/Creative Director Ori, NID, Dehradun who gave insights into the significance of Entrepreneurship.
