NONGSTOIN, April 3: A house was gutted in a fire at Mawthungkper village in West Khasi Hills on Saturday evening. There was no casualty as the house was empty at the time of the incident.
According to reports, the house belonged to Spilin Kharbani, a resident of Mawthungkper village. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electric short circuit.
