SHILLONG, April 6: In a bid to garner the views of the youth on the demand for a separate Khasi-Jaintia state, the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) will organise an essay competition for the student fraternity.
The party has also informed that the last date for submission of the essay on the topic ‘Khasi-Jaintia State’ is May 20. “It would be a great thing to know the point of view of the youths on the demand for a separate Khasi-Jaintia state as everyone is aware that the party is spearheading this movement for creation of the separate state,” HSPDP president, KP Pangniang, told reporters here on Wednesday after launching the party website at Shillong Press Club.
