SHILLONG, April 13: As part of the observance of Impact Week Meghalaya 2022, ‘Train the Trainers’ workshop was organised at PRIME Startup Hub Shillong to enable academic institutes in the state to develop entrepreneurial mindsets in their students based on the Design Thinking methodology.
The event was hosted by PRIME in partnership with the German Airline Lufthansa and its NGO-arm Help Alliance.
The Impact Week had trainers from reputed Lufthansa Group and various other multinational organisations joining in from across the world. As many as 25 selected faculty members from academic institutes around the state were trained in Design Thinking methodology that allows rapid ideation and prototyping of new ideas, business models and concepts.
The workshop started with a warm welcome address by Flo Oberhofer, Programme Head, PRIME, followed by an introductory session by the Impact Week team who were present physically and virtually.
Faculty members were divided into four teams, each with a mentor to discuss work on the Design Thinking concept through Ideation, Prototyping and Testing Phase.
During the Q&A session, all the queries of the faculty members were answered elaborately.
The next phase in the Impact Week 2022 Meghalaya series will be a full-day event involving more than 50 students from across the state on April 23, wherein the participants will get to work on solving pressing issues of the state like livelihood creation, pollution or sustainable tourism.
