Shillong, April 19: Rahjingshai S&CC opened their Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League campaign with a 1-0 win over PFR Ft Academy SC at the MFA Turf Polo here in the city on Tuesday. Lily L Nongkynrih scored the only goal of the contest in the 23rd minute.
In the other match of the day, Lumparing SC and Maw U-Tieng SC shared the spoils after their game ended with a 1-1 scoreline. Lumparing took the lead through Inrilaidor Khongthaw in the 35th minute. Phibashisha Lyngdoh equalised for Maw U-Tieng with her second half strike.
Today, Nongthymmai SC take on Lawei SC at 1:00 pm, while Mawlai SC face Thynroit SC at 3:30 pm. Both matches will be played at MFA Turf Polo.
