SHILLONG, April 25: The Meghalaya Joint Council of Trade Unions and Associations (MJCTU&A) has aired concern over the non-fulfilment of the demands of ad hoc teachers of Meghalaya.
In a statement, the MJCTU&A also asked the state government to address the long-pending issues of the aggrieved ad hoc teachers.
“While expressing total solidarity and support with the struggles of the teachers, led by the FASTOM, the MJCTU&A urges upon the Government of Meghalaya to address the issues immediately and accede to the demands of the teachers for the benefit of the students community, in particular, and people, in general, who are experiencing apparent normalcy after long disruption of usual academic activities due to COVID-19 pandemic,” it said.
