K’taka to form panel to curb hate speeches

Hubballi, April 28: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said the state government would form a committee to control hate speeches in accordance with instructions of the Supreme Court.
“Hate speeches are on the rise all over the country, especially on social media platforms. The SC orders would be followed and a committee would be constituted to control it,” he told reporters here at the city airport.
Meanwhile, CM in Haveri said developing Shiggaon taluk as one of India’s textile and garments industrial hubs is his dream.
A Textile Park is coming up in Shiggaon and Rs 29 crore has been sanctioned for the project, he said. (UNI)
