Finance Ministry releases Rs 86.08 cr to Meghalaya

SHILLONG, May 6: The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, on Friday released the second monthly instalment of Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of Rs 86.08 crore to Meghalaya.
The grant has been released as per the recommendations of the Fifteenth Finance Commission.
It may be mentioned that the Fifteenth Finance Commission has recommended a total PDRD Grant of Rs. 1,033 crore to Meghalaya for the financial year 2022-23.
The recommended grant will be released by the Department of Expenditure, MoF, to the recommended states, including Meghalaya, in 12 equated monthly instalments (EMIs).
