FIR filed against ex-policeman for impersonating DSP in Tura

TURA, May 8: An FIR has been filed with the Officer in-Charge (OC) of the Tura Women Police Station, against a former police constable who was terminated from service, for allegedly impersonating a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and secretly video-taping a portion of an altercation between him and a member of the Tura Bar Association and posting the same in the social media.
According to the FIR which was filed by an advocate, the accused, one David Chetry, who has a Facebook account under the name ‘David Alpineo’ while claiming to be the DSP misbehaved with members of the Bar Association and accused them of being corrupt for delaying the order which he wanted passed. The incident reportedly took place on May 4.
The FIR further claimed that Chetry then uploaded a portion of the video where a member of the Bar Association was heard clarifying his demands, which has since gone viral in the social media.
