Aadhaar enrolment campaign for 300 days in Garo Hills districts

TURA, May 11: The state government has, in collaboration with all line departments, initiated 300 days of Aadhaar enrolment campaign across Garo Hills.
A meeting to confer about the poor status of Aadhaar enrolment was also organised with all heads of department on Wednesday in Tura.
Speaking during the meeting, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh, exhorted one and all to get enrolled for Aadhaar as the same has been made mandatory by the Centre for availing benefits of governmental schemes, including scholarship programmes for students.
Meanwhile, the Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Dadenggre, Vibhor Agarwal shed light on the grim statistics of West Garo Hills on the Aadhaar enrolment front, and informed that the state government, in a bid to realise 100 per cent Aadhaar enrolment, has initiated 300 days of Aadhaar enrolment campaign.
