State BJP president, Ernest Mawrie, has declared the Shillong North Mandal on Tuesday during a meeting at the state BJP office. According to a statement, following the meeting, Alwin David Lyngdoh Nonglait was elected as president of 17-North Mandal, Gautam Deb, Lucas Marbaniang and Malcolm Najiar were elected as vice presidents, Sujit Dhar and Gilbert Dkhar were elected as general secretaries, among other members.

East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that the rate of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 has been slashed to Rs 200 per test. He informed that those who require to be tested at the entry points will be charged as per the new approved rate.
