JOWAI, May 23: A pastor and environment activist, HH Mohrmen, is all set to contest the upcoming Assembly elections in 2023 from Jowai constituency. “I want to bring a new change in politics. This is the main reason I decided to join politics,” Mohrmen told the The Shillong Times.
“I have decided to contest the election without money power. I have come up with a vision to develop Jowai town and the entire Constituency and also with proper consultation with elders and the youths,” he added.
He strongly hoped that people will help him bringing a new change in Jowai.
“Money power during election is not a good practices and I don’t want to do that,” he added.
Asked if he will join a party or contest as an independent candidate, he said, “It’s too soon to comment (on this), although some party had already approached him.”
