City cabbie found dead

SHILLONG, May 28: A body of a taxi driver was on Saturday recovered from opposite Hotel Polo Towers.
According to the police, the body of the deceased, identified as Gilbert Pyngrope, was found behind the bushes of the retaining wall opposite the hotel.
Pyngrope, who is a resident of Mawpat Circle 3, had resumed driving taxi after undergoing six months of rehabilitation.
The police also informed that Pyngrope’s family members were searching for him since Friday when they found his taxi to be parked at Ganesh Das junction.
