SHILLONG, June 8: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai recently inaugurated the Greenery Children Park at Mynsain Lumparing in the presence of traditional leaders of all Dorbar Shnong within Raid Laban Dorbar, teachers, students, local NGOs and residents of Greater Lumparing Area.
The park has been sanctioned under central government’s Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme 2020-21 for Rs. 26,44,090.
According to a statement, the inaugural programme was organised by the Monitoring-cum-Implementation Committee (MCIC) 19th South Shillong in collaboration with the Lumparing Welfare Society, Lumparing Women’s Cultural Society, Lumparing Gorkha United Club, Lumparing 5 Star Club, Lumparing Meghdoot Club Mynsain.
As part of the inaugural programme, cultural programmes were held while winners of a drawing competition were felicitated.
Dorbar Shnong of Raid Laban Dorbar and local NGOs were also feted for their role during COVID-19 crisis.
