SHILLONG, June 11: A blood donation camp was on Saturday jointly organised by Station Medicare Centre HQ EAC (U) and Indian Air Force Station Laitkor Peak at HQ Eastern Air Command.
According to a statement, a total of 47 units of blood were collected during the blood donation camp.
The blood donation camp was attended by IAF officials, health officials of Meghalaya Government as well as from Woodland Hospital.
Dr Charis Budnam of Regional Blood Centre, Meghalaya, during the camp, aired concern over low representation of people in blood donation. “She also brought out that one unit blood can benefit up to four patients in need due to the technology available at her institution,” the statement said.
