Star Cement extends support to flood victims

SHILLONG, July 9: Lending a helping hand to the state government to tackle the flood situation in select parts of Meghalaya, Star Cement recently contributed Rs 25 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
“The cement brand came up with the mind of contributing to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, keeping in mind the devastating flood situation in the state where people from various areas are affected and thousands of households are under water and still multiples of families are forced to take shelter on roads, highways and public schools,” a statement in this regard said.
A cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma by Senior Executive, Star Cement Suresh Shovasaria.
The management of Star Cement has also appealed to one and all to extend their support for the flood victims of the region.
