SHILLONG, July 24: In a bid to extend a helping hand to those affected by floods in Assam, the Inner Wheel Club of Pine City Shillong collected essential items from people such as clothes, utensils, drinking water, medicines, et al., which were sorted, packed and sent to the flood-affected areas in the neighbouring state as relief materials.
Expressing its gratitude to all the contributors who donated various items for the benefit of those hit by floods in Assam, the club said it is continuing to collect items for the same purpose.
Relief items would again be sent as per circumstances and need, it said.
According to the club, the items, which should be in “usable condition”, can be donated at Hotel Abode, 70 Keating Road, above Royal Enfield showroom (9437008520) or M/S International Sanitary, near NEEPCO, Demsniong (96415 81269).
