Govt announces dignitaries for Tricolour hoisting on I-Day

SHILLONG, Aug 10: The state government has released a list of dignitaries who will hoist the Tricolour on Independence Day.
While Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will hoist the Tricolour in Shillong, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong will in Tura, Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh in Mairang, Social Welfare Minister Kyrmen Shylla in Khliehriat, PHE Minister Renikton L Tongkhar in Mawkyrwat, Health Minister James PK Sangma in Williamnagar, C&RD Minister Hamletson Dohling in Jowai, Transport Minister Dasakhiatbha Lamare in Nongpoh, Water Resources Minister H Brolding Nongsiej in Nongstoin, Deputy Speaker Timothy D Shira in Resubelpara, MLA Marcuise N Marak in Ampati and MLA Thomas A Sangma in Baghmara.
At the civil sub-divisional level, Agriculture Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh will hoist the Tricolour in Sohra, Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui in Amlarem, Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai in Dadenggre, MLA Macmillan Byrsat in Pynursla, MLA Rupert Momin in Chokpot, MLA Abdus Saleh in Raksamgre, MLA Gigur Myrthong in Mawshynrut and MLA Pius Marwein in Ranikor.
Similarly, MLA Sostheness Sohtun will hoist the national flag in Patharkhmah Administrative Unit and MLA Comingone Ymbon will do the same in Hima Shangpung, Laskein Community and Rural Development Block.
