Training prog gets under way

SHILLONG, Aug 16: A three-day training programme on ‘Psychosocial Care in Disaster Management’ was on Tuesday inaugurated at Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATTI), Mawdiangdiang, Shillong.
The programme was organised by the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA)
The inaugural function was attended by Commissioner and Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management department R Lyngdoh as the chief guest, who lauded the efforts and contributions of unsung workers from different sectors during a disaster.
