6-day Assembly session from Sept 9

SHILLONG, Aug 17: The six-day autumn session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will commence from September 9.
Talking to reporters after a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee here on Wednesday, Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh said that the session will be held from September 9 to 16.
According to Lyngdoh, there will be six working days of which government business will be conducted on September 9, 13 and 16, while September 12, 14 and 15 have been reserved for private members’ business.
Others members who attended the BAC meeting included Opposition leader Mukul Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong and two MLAs — Ampareen Lyngdoh and Balajied Kupar Synrem.
