Unclaimed body
One male patient, identified as Santosh Kashi (57), C/o Sartapur Goalpara, Assam, was admitted in the Male Medical Ward-II, Bed No. 19 at Shillong Civil Hospital on August 14. He, however, passed away on August 19. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue failing which the same will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

Shillong College principal E Kharkongor and HoD of Khasi, Shillong College, A Nongbri will on Thursday release The Khasi States – A Brief Historical Timeline 1771-2017, a book authored by John F. Kharshiing and Dr Bodhi Saiñkupar Ranee.

Clarification
It is clarified that the state government did not terminate its contract with the GVK EMRI 108 service but the term of agreement between the government and GVK came to an end.
