TURA, Aug 24: Irked by the state government’s failure to release pending salaries of two months besides the non-fulfillment of several other demands, SSA teachers, under the banner of All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association, have warned that they would not hesitate to take to the streets in protest, even on Teachers’ Day.
It is pertinent to note that the disgruntled teachers are yet to receive the salaries for the months of June and July.
Other demands of the teachers include regular payment of salaries, regularisation of services, immediate release of eight month’s pending arrears and hike in salaries.
