Baby found dead
An unidentified female newborn was found afloat the river under Harrison Bridge at 9.10 am on Tuesday. However, after inquest and post-mortem examination, the body was kept at Civil Hospital Morgue for identification and claim.
Meeting

Programme
An awareness talk on HIV/AIDS will be organised by the Red Ribbon Club of Shillong Commerce College in collaboration with Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute-Shillong, Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS) Shillong, NSS and NCC units of Shillong Commerce College, at the college campus on Friday, which will be followed by by a voluntary blood donation camp.
Cultural event
Bangiya Sahitya Parishad Shillong organised a cultural programme on its premises to commemorate the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on August 21. Artists from Shillong and Kolkata performed on the occasion.
