Paris Saint-Germain is set to complete the signing of Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz from Napoli. The central midfielder will join the Parisians on a five-year deal which will keep him at the French capital until 2027. PSG will pay Napoli $24 million to secure the deal.

Tahith Chong is in ‘advanced talks’ with Birmingham City and could join his Manchester United teammate Hannibal Mejbri at Birmingham. Despite featuring under Erik ten Hag during pre-season, the 22-year-old doesn’t look to have a future at Old Trafford under his compatriot.

Edinson Cavani
Valencia signed veteran Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani on a two-year contract. The 35-year-old Cavani had been without a club since his contract with Manchester United expired at the end of last season. He previously also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Palermo.

Willian
The former Chelsea forward Willian is due to have a medical at Fulham on Tuesday with a view to signing on a free on a one-year deal after his Corinthians contract was terminated. The 34-year-old former Brazil international, who returned to his homeland with Corinthians last year after leaving Arsenal, has been keen to return to the Premier League.

Argentina defender Cristian Romero has signed a permanent contract to remain with Tottenham until 2027. Romero joined on a season-long loan from Italian team Atalanta in August last year and has established himself as a key member of Tottenham’s defence as well as a popular player among the London club’s fan base.
