SHILLONG, Sep 1: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has targeted the appointment of a full-fledged Syiem of Hima Mylliem by the end of this year.
The Hima Mylliem has remained without a full-fledged Syiem since 2016.
Presently, Ainam Manik Syiem is the Acting Syiem of Hima Mylliem.
“We will try our best to appoint the full-fledged Syiem within this year,” KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Titosstarwell Chyne said.
The Acting Syiem is elated with the KHADC’s plan.
