SHILLONG, Sep 5: Meghalaya Trinamool Congress president Charles Pyngrope has asked the Police department to come clean on the recent allegations of alleged irregularities in procurement of vehicles.
Pyngrope on Monday said the Police department should clarify on what basis the vehicles were purchased.
Stating that a purchase is made when there is a requirement, the TMC state chief added that the police may have its own requirement for purchasing vehicles be it for law and order and other emergencies which normally cannot be divulged in the public but since there is a controversy the department should come out on its own and clear the air so that there is no space for speculation.
