Office-bearers
The Dorbar Shnong Nongrim Hills has elected its office-bearers during a meeting on September 10. According to a statement, Bantylli L Narry has been elected as Rangbah Shnong, Anu Nongbet has been elected as Assistant Rangbah Shnong, Kitbor Kharmawphlang as general secretary, Wilfred Majaw as Rangbah Dong Upper Nongrim Hills, Ethan Lyngwa as Rangbah Dong Centre Nongrim Hills, et al. During the meeting, a financial report for 2016-2022 was also accepted by the members present.
Centenary prog
Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, will organise the centenary celebration of the school on Tuesday. The centenary celebration-cum-Foundation Day will be attended by Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court Sanjib Banerjee.
Clarification
In the news item titled “Will ensure Khasi as compulsory subject in EMRS: Chief Secy”, which was published on September 11 edition, the name of the author “Duster Roy Khongngai” should be read as “Doster Roy Khongngai”.
