School events
As part of the centenary celebrations of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, the 17th Inter-School/College Invitational Debate Championship will be organised on Tuesday. The 2nd Inter-School Quiz Competition will be held on Wednesday, and the 17th Inter-School Science Seminar will be held on Thursday. All three programmes will be held at the School Auditorium (Kailash Manch).

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
