NONGPOH, Oct 9: A 53-year-old woman and her minor grandchild died due to electric shock after coming into contact with live wires at Narang in Ri-Bhoi district on Sunday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Lut Shadap.
A source said that a minor, aged three years, was playing in her residential compound when an overhead electric wire fell on a coconut tree bending the leaves to the ground.
