TURA, Oct 23: The nokma of Remgre Darat Amate A’king in North Garo Hills has written to the Director of Health Services in Shillong seeking the absorption two of its clan members into posts at the Rari PHC in return for land donated by him for its construction.
In his letter to the official, the nokma-Dillipson R Marak, claimed that there was a verbal agreement for appointment of two members from the family, in return for the land that was donated at the time.
Marak added that while one of the family members was appointed in the IV grade post, another needed to be appointed, as per the agreement.
Informing that the intention was not to take back the land but to get fair justice as per the agreement, the nokma urged the official to look into the matter at the earliest.
