College building inaugurated in West Khasi Hills

NONGSTOIN, Nov 10: The new building of the Lyngngam Presbyterian College Mawthengkut in West Khasi Hills was on Wednesday inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member Dr. WR Kharlukhi.
The construction of the building was funded under the North Eastern Council (NEC) 2020-21 for an amount of Rs. one crore.
Established in 2016, the college was earlier functioning without its own building.
Addressing the gathering as a chief guest, Kharlukhi lauded the efforts of the local MLA Gigur Myrthong to uplift the education scenario in Mawshynrut constituency.
Kharlukhi also urged the college authority to strive towards securing National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation.
