Base laid for Water Supply Scheme

MAWKYRWAT, Nov 10: Ranikor MLA Pius Marwein on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the Nongjri-Nonghyllam Combined Water Supply Scheme, which, once implemented, will cover five villages in Nongjri area under Ranikor Civil Subdivision of South West Khasi Hills.
Sanctioned through the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for Rs. 8.94 crore for Rs. 8.94 crore, the project will likely benefit villages of Nongjri, Nonghyllam, Rajaju, Paitbli and Umsur, covering 444 households.
Speaking on the occasion, Marwein said the implementation of the project will start soon.
