Meghalaya suffer loss to Railways

Shillong, Nov 23: Meghalaya suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Railways in the U-25 Men State A Trophy in Chandigarh, on Wednesday.
Meghalaya chose to bat first after winning the toss and were dismissed for just 92 in 33.1 overs, which Railways chased down in 12 overs.
Only Jaskirat Singh hung around long enough to make 13 as Meghalaya were reeling at 30/8. However, Bipin Kr Ray (16), Sudhir Sahani (24) and Manish Sharma (15 *) added 62 runs for the ninth and tenth wickets to see Meghalaya to 92.
Railways plundered 55 runs from the first four overs before they lost their opening wicket. Two more fell but Railways were able to achieve the modest target with plenty of overs to spare. Meghalaya’s Agreas Chamcham Sangma took 2/18.
Meghalaya will take on Pondicherry on November 27.
